STORY #1 — Reckless With The Facts
The Richmond Times-Dispatch last Sunday ran a fantastic, in-depth story about the whole July 4th fiasco and uncovered so much that the police chief Gerald Smith issued an apology last Friday (when the story first appeared online). The RTD found through document requests that the chief was given an information packet/talking points before the July 6th press conference that “ the location of any potential incident was “unknown”” and that the information the Chief shared with the FBI did not mention a specific location.
