ALT #1 — OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Theatre On Wheels
One of the more intruiging (and odd) additions to the Richmond arts landscape this holiday season has to be the arrival of the Virginia Theatre Machine. That’s right, theater on a 2,500 pound flatbed trailer. Rich Griset from Style Weekly writes about the creative stage of Mark German who started the venue in 2008 when he moved to Williamsburg. After a hiatus and the pandemic, he has decided to raise the curtain once more.

Part of the project’s mission is to bring entertainment to the masses for free, instead of asking them to buy tickets and come inside a theater.
