ALT #1 — OFF THE BEATEN PATH: An Arts Score
Richmond’s creativity and arts scene is one of the best in America. A bold statement, perhaps, but backed up by many examples, from the Virginia Museum, Science Museum (and many others) to the numerous film festivals; the RVA Street Art Festival and the mural scene; the performances on stage at Virginia Rep, Firehouse, et. al; galleries like Studio 23, Gallery 5, and so many more; the local music scene and musicians; and organizations like Cultureworks that help promote the arts scene and finance projects of small, local artists.
