ALT #1 — OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Helping Area Non-Profits
Karri Peifer at Axios reported this week that over 150 non-profits in the Richmond region will lose funding from the AmazonSmile program beginning next month. That’s the bad news. The good news is that Kroger’s Community Rewards program is not only there to pick up the slack, but even though it might be less glitzy than Amazon, it already delivers more to non-profits.
Amazon’s program allocated 0.5% of sales on certain purchases to one of 181 non-profits in the region that customers selected in their account settings.
