STORY # 1 — Cause and Effect: Crime
The first three stories are all related, and unfortunately not in a good way. But it is an unfortunate prime example of cause and effect.

Crime is up and every week it seems to be causing flashbacks to the 1990s and early 2000s when murders were commonplace, guns and shootings were rampant, and the “leaders” seem to be out to lunch.

NBC 12 reported that Richmond is “becoming more known for its car theft rate these days” and statistics show a 42% increase over the same time period last year. 421 cars stolen in just over 5 months.
