ALT #1 - OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Storied Strings
The VMFA has brought some amazing exhibitions to Richmond in recent years — Picasso, Chihuly, Sunken Cities, The Dirty South, Terracotta Army, Amsel Adams, Yves Saint Laurent, Ryan McGinnis, and the list goes on and on.

But their latest large exhibition, “Storied Strings: The Guitar in American Art” is on display through March 19th and already getting a lot of deserved attention but also offering some incredible “pop-in” opportunities that are all about good timing.

The VMFA describes the exhibition:
”Explore the guitar as visual subject, enduring symbol, and storyteller’s companion. Strummed everywhere from parlors and front porches to protest rallies and rock arenas—the guitar also appears far and wide …
