ALT #1 — OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Awesome River Stories
The James River is not exactly off the beaten path, but John Bryan’s walks and interactions along it are certainly worthy of note. After all, it is considered the region’s most valuable asset and most people at one time or another (or all the time) visit the trails and overlooks and spots in James River Park or along the canal, Brown’s Island, the RVA Street Art Festival site, the Floodwall Walk, on or under a bridge, or out on the rocks themselves. The river and its environs attract all kinds for all kinds of reasons and when the weather was north of 80 degrees this week, it was the perfect place for a bike ride (and so it was).
