An amazing rebuild of the organ in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart will soon bring old world sounds to one of Richmond’s grandest sanctuaries.
One of the city’s O.G. breweries is cashing in on insane real estate values and no matter what happens, will always be a Legend in this town…
THE ALT 5
ALT #1 — OFF THE BEATEN PATH: Downtown Drone Tour
Venture Richmond’s job is to promote all things Downtown, from the Folk Festival, to Friday Cheers, Riverrock, the 2nd Street Festival, and other cool things. All of those events are great year after year, but their latest addition allows you to visit the river or Downtown anytime you want virtually.
Their latest addition is a virtual tour without the pricey virtual reality goggles where you can immerse yourself and get a little fix of Downtown hip, share with your out-of-town friends and family to give them a preview of things you will take them to see and do.
According to Richard Hayes at RVA Hub:
Venture Richmond has carefully curated the platform to offer a comprehensive overview of Downtown Richmond’s economic development, featuring its eight neighborhoods, popular areas within each neighborhood, residential projects and commercial ventures. As users navigate through the beautiful virtual landscape, they can delve into specific places and projects within each neighborhood, gaining insight into Downtown Richmond.
Check out historic Shockoe Slip, the crazy construction craze in Manchester, the river, apartment and condo residences, cultural attractions, restaurants, commercial development, and other cool spots that make up the character of each neighborhood and all of Downtown. All told you can check out 160 spots and venues, including of course, the city’s largest outdoor art gallery of the RVA Street Art Festival.
